Computing
Computing should be a practical, engaging, enquiry-led subject that develops critcal thinking and problem solving. At Halsall St Cuthbert's we usethe National Centre for Computing Education's Teach Curriculum. This curriculum has been built around an innovative progression framework where computing content has been organised into interconnected networks we call learning graph and has been created by subject experts, using the latest pedagogical research and teacher feedback.
We have recently invested in two laptop trolleys (32 laptops in total) to ensure that each pupil in a class has access a computer. We also use a class set of Apple ipads to further develop digital literacy and enhance the curriculum.
