Wellbeing

Hello, I am Mrs Galley. I am the Senior Mental Health Lead here at Halsall St Cuthbert's. In this section of the website, you will find our policy for wellbeing. I will also recommend websites for pupils and parents who may be seeking support.

At Halsall, we aim to increase awareness of mental health in an age-appropriate manner and provide the children with the emotional and physical tools to cope with things that they may face in their daily lives. Ultimately we aim to send the children off to High School as confident and responsible pupils with an awareness, compassion and empathy for others.

We will mark the awareness days and weeks throughout the year, such as Mental Health Awareness week, World Kindness Day and Anti-Bullying week, to name a few.

Wellbeing and mental health awareness will also be embedded within the curriculum, in subjects such as PSHE, PE and Religious Education, and within collective worship. We will take the opportunities throughout the Christian calendar to build on the Christian Values such as resilience, perseverance, compassion and gratitude.
