World Faith Islam
For the academic year of 2024-2025 our world faith focus religion will be Islam. Similar to our learning around Hinduism last year, we hope to give our pupils an overview of the world faith of Islam and learn more about Islam in modern Britain. We will enjoy visitors coming to school during the course of the year and children will have the opportunity to ask questions and develop their knowledge and understanding. This learning will be in addition to world faith coverage from the Questful RE syllabus and will supplement pupil understanding of religions and cultures that may be diverse to their own.

Inter Faith day
We had a visitor who came into school to talk to the children about his faith and we were able to find lots of similarities and differences between Islam and Christianity.
Thank you to all who entered our ‘design a prayer mat’ competition, they all looked fabulous and helped to raise over £70 which will be used towards providing clean water to villages in Africa. Our visitor found it difficult to judge the competition as the standards were so high but managed to select 3 worthy winners in the end. As you can see, we had lots of volunteers who wanted to dress up and help demonstrate all the religious artefacts. Thank you also to Rev Susan who joined us for assembly and made it a special interfaith occasion.
