Computing
We use technology throughout the school day, from researching to music production.

In Year 5 we begin the year by revising our knowledge of Systems and Networks - looking specifically at how search engines work, how results are ranked and whether we can trust everything we see on the web.
We have learnt about video production, using the Ipads to become news reporters; using different filming techniques and editing our short videos with text and audio.
We have learnt how to create vector drawings - becoming digital artists.
This term we will learn to use selection in physical computing and improving our coding skills using the Crumble software.
We will start to learn about flat file databases and introduce spreadsheets (this will be further developed in year 6). Finishing the year by using block coding to create our own Scratch games.
