Computing

We use technology throughout the school day, from researching to music production. 

In Year 5 we begin the year by revising our knowledge of Systems and Networks - looking specifically at how search engines work, how results are ranked and whether we can trust everything we see on the web.

We will learn about video production, using the Ipads to become news reporters before moving on in the spring term to use selection in physical computing and improving our coding skills. We will start to learn about flat file databases and introduce spreadsheets (this will be further developed in year 6). In Summer term, we finish the year by being creative; we create our own scratch game and become digital artists using vectors.
