Science

We love science in Class K!

Our science lessons focus on developing understanding and knowledge and also develop skills and enquiry of science. In every unit, we learn about the work of eminent scientists associated with that topic.

The units we will be covering this year are:

Unit 1: Rocks

Unit 2: Animals including humans

Unit 3: Forces and magnets

Unit 4: Light and shadows

Unit 5: Plants - growth, functions and life cycle

Unit 6: Environmental project

During our unit on plants, we have enjoyed disecting a tulip and looking at the parts of a flower. We have also planned a science experimet to see what factors effect the way a plant grows.
